The club championship runs every year and culminates with The Great Scottish Run in October. Trophies are given out for the top male and female and also for the top vets. Members complete a minimum of seven races from a list of 20 races – 2 short, 2 medium, 2 long and another 1 which will be your best scoring race after the two in each category are allocated. Races range from 5K to Marathons, and at least one of the scoring races needs to be a half marathon or marathon. Most of us already run lots of races in a year, so why not plan your race calendar around the championship?
There will be regular updates of the scores on the message board, so you’ll be able to see how you fare alongside your mates.
Runners will be awarded points for their finishing times in championship races. Points will be awarded for these times according to recognised tables. The runner’s 7 best times (and highest points) will count towards the club championship.

EVERYONE who completes the Championship criteria will be awarded a special Club Championship memento!
Prizes will be awarded to the overall Club Champions i.e. the highest scoring male and female from the senior, vet (40+ for both men and women as of 1st January 2011) and super vet (45+ for women and 50+ for men as of 1st January 2011) categories. The winner of each category takes home the annual club trophy.
Prizes will be available in the following categories. It is only possible to be awarded a prize in your own age category.
